• Jesus, they're playing our song! =)

  The first time I heard this song I immediately associated it with my relationship with Christ. Some people might find that silly but to me, it just felt so right.
  
  I know what you may be thinking, "But Kat, this is a romantic song?!"
  And to that I say, "EXACTLY."
  
  Everyday Christ chooses to romance me. Day in and day out, He does everything He can to sweep me off my feet. Last year, after Youth conference I shared with a group of sisters about how I couldn't get rid of these butterflies in my tummy and I knew the butterflies came from the fact that Christ was really having His way with me. He was coming after me with every intention of winning my heart. Oh goodness, I'm even getting giddy as I type this.
  
  This year, as the romance continues, I find myself with an abundance of even more butterflies. Ladies and gentlemen, I am in the middle of a perfect courtship! ...and my suitor is doing everything right.
  
  He has introduced me to His family and friends. Mama Mary, God the Father, the Holy Spirit, St. Joseph, and all the blessed saints even! He encourages me to spend time getting to really know them so that I can come to love them.
  
  He gives the best presents and surprises! I feel like every moment I witness His realness is a moment in which He is giving me a gift. Take for example the past few weeks. Seeing a brother overwhelmed with emotion and moved to tears because of the greatness of God, to me it's like receiving a bouquet of white roses. Watching a sister fight tears of frustration for not knowing how to properly share the power of His love with the people she cares for most, it's like getting a bag of white chocolate Lindt Lindor truffles. Having the privilege of kneeling before hundreds of youth adoring Him with such reverence, was like getting a bag full of folded, sour cream and onion lays. (Sorry, only few of you will get that one hehe) Praying over the bishop as one grateful family, was like finally getting that silver, apple necklace I've been wanting. And the moments weren't just limited to these. In the past few weeks He has showered me with so many tokens of His affection by allowing me to witness healing, renewal, growth, humility ...ALL IN HIS NAME. In my heart, His love for others directly translates to His love for me. I have enough chocolates and flowers and jewelry to last me a lifetime.
  
  And even though He could easily claim to be busy, He always makes time for me. Through non-stop prayer we have the best conversations. He makes me laugh like no other and He lets me make Him laugh too! When I can't sleep at night He simply listens as I spill away all the thoughts in my mind keeping me from rest. When I'm upset, He gives me comforting embraces, be it through the gift of peace or literally through the arms of some of you. When I'm being ridiculous, He lovingly corrects me in my head or through a select few of you. When I am afraid, He never lets me be alone, by assuring me of His presence or by bringing one of you to me.
  
  He does everything in His power to let me know that He wants to be with me. No matter what happens or how I change, He wants to be with me. He has seen me at my very worst and still, He wants to be with me. And in essence isn't that what we're all really searching for when we look for love in this life? someone that just wants to be with you in every season...someone who will love you relentlessly.
  
  I am head over heals in love and I want to stay with Him forever. I am in the middle of a perfect courtship and this perfect love is my pathway to paradise.
